Frost and Snow in the lakes

I had the great pleasure of working on some new Photography for the Camping and Caravanning Club. The client’s brief was to capture lifestyle images with a Winter and Christmas theme, and the art direction was provided by Matt Skidmore, a long-standing client with whom I have had the privilege of working on several projects, check this blog to see more, resulting in some great work, that I am very pleased with.

Braithwaite Village Site, Kendal.

The shoot took place over two days in Kendal, a picturesque town in the Lake District, specifically at the Braithwaite Village site. We did some evening and dusk shots of the site and Vans, in the morning the winter sun on the day of the shoot was perfect, despite the cold weather.

The site looked magical, with a light dusting of snow and a hard frost that had settled in the days leading up to the shoot.

Helped massively by two excellent models who remained natural and energetic throughout the day, despite the cold weather. The brief was to capture them enjoying the site and surrounding area had to offer and preparing their accommodation for the Christmas festivities.

Shallow Depth of Field.

I had some flexibility to experiment with different setups once the creative styles had been agreed upon. The main Brief was to use a very shallow depth of field and a natural unposed look.

The day was a team effort, and everyone involved worked hard to achieve the desired results. The client and the marketing manager, Ann, Art Direction by Matt, were both present on the shoot and my assistant, Sue, provided invaluable support.

I am proud and pleased with this photography for the Camping and Caravanning Club, the final images, which turned out to be a great success and perfectly captured the essence of the brief. I look forward to sharing them with the client and the wider audience.
